Onsager coefficients of a finite-time Carnot cycle [PDF]
We study a finite-time Carnot cycle of a weakly interacting gas which we can regard as a nearly ideal gas in the limit of $T_\mathrm{h}-T_\mathrm{c}\to 0$ where $T_\mathrm{h}$ and $T_\mathrm{c}$ are the temperatures of the hot and cold heat reservoirs ...

This paper addresses finite-time projective synchronization of stochastic complex-valued neural networks (SCVNNs) with probabilistic time-varying delays (PTVs). First, in the complex domain, PTVs are introduced into the studied model and a novel feedback

Universality of finite-time disentanglement [PDF]
In this paper we investigate how common is the phenomenon of Finite Time Disentanglement (FTD) with respect to the set of quantum dynamics of bipartite quantum states with finite dimensional Hilbert spaces. Considering a quantum dynamics from a general sense, as just a continuous family of Completely Positive Trace Preserving maps (parametrized by the ...

Finite-Time Chaos Suppression of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Systems
This paper considers the problem of the chaos suppression for the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) system via the finite-time control. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and the finite-time controller are developed such that the chaos behaviors ...

Finite-Time H∞ Static Output Feedback Control for Itô Stochastic Markovian Jump Systems
This paper focuses on the problem of finite-time H∞ static output feedback control for Ito^ stochastic systems with Markovian jumps (MJs). First of all, by introducing a new state vector and a novel signal, several sufficient conditions for the existence

Uniformly accelerated finite-time detectors [PDF]
The behavior of uniformly accelerated detectors in the Minkowski and Rindler vacua is analysed when the detector is coupled to a scalar field during a finite amount of time T. We point out that the logarithmic ultraviolet divergences reported in the literature are due to the instantaneous switching of the detector.
