We characterized the distribution of cargo proteins associated with extracellular vesicles using various exogenous loading methods. In all cases, single‐particle analysis revealed that the distribution of protein content per EV is heterogeneous, following an exponential decay function.

Zum Stellenwert von Fischmehl in der Aquakultur [PDF]
The worldwide aquaculture production amounts to about one third of the world fishery catch. While the world fishery catch in the last years is stagnating and an increase is not to be expected, the aquaculture rose by about 10 % annually.

Membrane vesicles derived from the probiotic Lacticaseibacillus casei BL23 demonstrate antimicrobial properties against Escherichia coli and a potential biological effect in improving the overall survival of C. elegans infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These vesicles stimulated immune responses in primary cells without causing toxicity. Our results

Effect of Different Degrees of Hydrogenated Fish Oil on Intestinal Carcinogenesis in Min/+ mice [PDF]
Intake of trans fatty acids from hydrogenated fish oils has been related to increased risk of coronary heart diseases. The possible effect on colorectal carcinogenesis is unclear. Materials and Methods: Multiple intestinal neoplasia (Min/+) mice were fed

Cell Surface Thiol Engineering Mechanoregulates Myogenic Differentiation via the FAK–PI3K–AKT Axis
Schematic diagram illustrating how cell surface modification of skeletal muscle progenitor cells through TCEP treatment reveals enhanced cell adhesion, intracellular tension, and myogenesis at 19.66 kPa stiffness, leading to optimal cell fusion. In contrast, no significant changes are observed in the softer (10.61 kPa) or stiffer (49.4 kPa) matrices ...

The foreign body response (FBR) to biomaterials is primarily driven by macrophages, which often fuse into destructive foreign body giant cells (FBGCs). To address the limited understanding of FBGC formation, a novel microscale core–shell hydrogel 3D model is developed using heterogeneous alginate‐collagen microcapsules with varying stiffness, offering ...
