Cost‐Effective Solid‐State NMR Of Fungal Glucans: A Case Study On Schizosaccharomyces pombe
A cost‐effective solid‐state NMR strategy enables replication and semi‐quantitative assessment of inherent variation of the fungal cell wall. Whole cell and cell wall extractions yield subtly different compositional differences, revealing molecular adaptations invisible to microscopy.

The electronic spin state of two Chichibabin radicals is investigated using 2‐dimensional hyperfine correlated Electron Nuclear Double Resonance. The protons (I=1/2) act as a reference for the electronic spin quantum number (S) via their hyperfine interactions.

Prompt fission gamma-ray spectrum characteristics from Pu-240(sf) and Pu-242(sf) [PDF]
In this paper we present first results for prompt fission gamma-ray spectra (PFGS) characteristics from the spontaneous fission (sf) of Pu-240 and Pu-242.

Novel Organelle‐Based Intracellular Immunity With Mechanistic and Therapeutic Implications
A conceptual framework illustrating how PAMPs/DAMPs initiate barrier, innate, adaptive, and intracellular immune responses, with organelle‐based intracellular immunity serving as a central integrator linking metabolism, inflammatory signaling, and therapeutic interventions to restore immune homeostasis.

Remark on the prompt-fission-neutron spectrum of /sup 252/Cf [PDF]
Good resolution time-of-flight measurements show small structure in the prompt fission neutron spectrum of /sup 252/Cf that is identified with air-scattering effects.

Zero‐dimensional antimony halides drive efficient iodine capture through electron transfer and display rapid fluorescence quenching at 75°C (348 K), establishing the first luminescent sensor for real‐time I2 detection at elevated temperatures. ABSTRACT Real‐time monitoring of volatile molecular iodine (I2), a hazardous radioactive byproduct of nuclear ...

Measurement of high-energy prompt gamma-rays from neutron induced fission of U-235
We have developed a new setup to measure prompt γ-rays from the 235U(nth,f) reaction. The setup consists of two multi-wire proportional counters (MWPCs) to detect the fission fragments, two LaBr3(Ce) scintillators to measure the γ-rays.

Metal‐Free Ligand‐Centered Radical Scavenging in Pyridine‐Modified Tetraaza Macrocycles
Ligand‐centered hydrogen‐atom transfer in pyridinophane macrocycles generates delocalized radicals, with Py2N2 enabling cooperative captodative stabilization and enhanced DPPH• quenching. Pyridine‐modified tetraaza macrocycles are widely studied as ligand platforms for metal coordination, yet their intrinsic redox and radical reactivity in the absence ...

Total prompt γ-ray emission in fission
The total prompt γ-ray energy distributions were measured for the neutron-induced fission of 235U, 239,241Pu at incident neutron energy of 0.025 eV–100 keV, and the spontaneous fission of 252Cf using the Detector for Advanced Neutron Capture Experiments (
