Physiological and N2-fixation-related traits for tolerance to drought in soybean progenies
: The objective of this work was to evaluate six soybean (Glycine max) genotypes for physiological traits and biological nitrogen fixation in drought conditions, and their capacity for recovery after rewetting, based on yield components.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Mechanical considerations in fracture fixation
Bone’s capacity to repair following trauma is both unique and astounding. However, fractures sometimes fail to heal. Hence, the goal of fracture treatment is the restoration of bone’s structure, composition and function.

Impact of hazardous components on CO2 biofixation from synthetic flue gas using Chlorella sp. JPR-1 in a raceway pond photobioreactor [PDF]
This work aimed to investigate the effects of hazardous compounds (NO and SO2) in flue gas on Chlorella JPR-1 growth in a raceway pond photobioreactor at ambient temperature (30 °C) without pH control.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

SHORT SEGMENT FIXATION OF THORACOLUMBAR FRACTURES WITH PEDICLE FIXATION AT THE LEVEL OF THE FRACTURE
Thoracolumbar fractures are very frequent injuries, for both anatomical and biomechanical reasons. The most appropriate surgical treatment is still debatable.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Nitrogen Isotopes in the Global Ocean [PDF]
Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for life. Its low abundance throughout much of the sunlit surface ocean limits the growth of primary producers that form the base of ocean ecosystems.
