Stellar Library of Differential Emission Measures and Extreme Ultraviolet Spectra: Dwarf Stars Observed by the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Extreme ultraviolet (EUV; 100–912 Å) photons influence the formation and evolution of planets by ionizing hydrogen and other species, but the EUV radiation of most exoplanet host stars is poorly constrained.

Sub-second cadence structure of optical flares on AD Leo

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. Stellar flares are sudden brightenings caused by magnetic reconnection and are frequently observed on late-type stars. High-cadence photometry of flares provides valuable insights into the mechanisms of these events, yet such observations remain

Molten‐Salt‐Mediated Chemical Looping Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Ethane with In‐Situ Carbon Capture and Utilization

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
A sustainable alternative to steam cracking, the molten‐salt‐mediated oxidative dehydrogenation (MM‐ODH) of ethane (C2H6) in Li2CO3‐Na2CO3‐K2CO3 (LNK) couples thermal cracking with melt‐mediated CO2 capture to realize commercially competitive C2H4 and CO yields. LNK composition strongly influences MM‐ODH process outcomes.

Stellar Flares in the TESS Light Curves of Planet-hosting M Dwarfs

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
M dwarfs are magnetically active stars that frequently produce flares, which have implications for both stellar evolution and exoplanet studies. Flare occurrence rates and activity levels of M dwarfs correlate with stellar characteristics such as age ...

Integrated Flue‐Gas Heat Recovery for Optimized Steam and Power Generation Using Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC): A Technical and Economic Assessment

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Integration of a steam cycle with an existing gas turbine increased efficiency from 32% to 51%, reducing fuel consumption by 21.4% and CO2 emissions by 18.6%. The modification generated USD 13.9 million annual savings and lowered the Levelized Cost of Energy to 38.7 USD/MWh, with a 3‐year payback.

Stellar flares

open access: yesLiving Reviews in Solar Physics
Magnetic storms on stars manifest as remarkable, randomly occurring changes of the luminosity over durations that are tiny in comparison to the normal evolution of stars.

Review of articular cartilage repair techniques and their application in the horse

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Articular cartilage lesions represent a significant career‐limiting problem in athletic horses. A healthy articular cartilage surface is vital for optimal joint function, and defects can result in irreversible degenerative changes. Successful treatment of cartilage lesions remains a long‐standing challenge for orthopaedic surgeons, prompting ...
