Impact of Meteorological Parameters on Dispersion Modeling of Sulfur Dioxide from Gas Flares (Case Study: Sirri Island) [PDF]
In this study, in 2011 for the duration of two months, the dispersion of a major air pollutant, sulfur dioxide from gas flares of an oil field, in Iran, was investigated.

Effect of solar flares on 54Mn and 57Co radioactive decay constants performance [PDF]
Changes in radioactive decay rates due to solar flares have attracted increasing scientific attention in recent decades. In previous studies we demonstrated that solar flares cause changes in the decay rate of 241Am, 222Rn, and 232Th. The change

Photometric Research of Pre-flare and Extra-flare Activity of Flare Stars [PDF]
Preliminary results of a photometric search for non-flare activity of the flare star EV Lac during June-August 1994 are presented. These observations are part of the long-term project entitled “Investigation of pre-flare processes on flare stars” being carried out at the Observatory of the Jordan Valley Regional College since July 1994. The project was

The Flare Catalog and the Flare Activity in the Kepler Mission [PDF]
Abstract We present a flare catalog of the Kepler mission using the long-cadence data of Data Release 25. This catalog comprises 3420 flare stars and 162,262 flare events. A comparison shows that the flare catalogs of previous studies are seriously polluted by various false-positive signals and artifacts.

Astro-COLIBRI 2—An Advanced Platform for Real-Time Multi-Messenger Discoveries
The study of flaring astrophysical events in the multi-messenger approach requires instantaneous follow-up observations to better understand the nature of these events through complementary observational data.

What aspects of solar flares can be clarified with mm/submm observations?
This paper identifies several unsolved questions about solar flares, which can potentially be answered or at least clarified with mm/submm observations with ALMA.

Retrospective analysis of GLEs and estimates of radiation risks
28 February 2017 marked 75 years since the first confident registration of solar cosmic rays (SCRs), i.e., accelerated solar particles with energies from about 106 to ~1010 ÷ 1011 eV.

Quasi-Periodic Pulsations in an M-Class Solar Flare
We have studied the quasi-periodic pulsations (QPPs) of the M2.3 flare that occurred in the active region NOAA 12172 on 23 September 2014. Through the fast Fourier transform (FFT) method, we decompose the flare light curves into fast- and slowly-varying ...
