Curing Behavior and Structure Reactivity‐Property Relationships in Epoxidized Linseed Oil Thermosets Crosslinked With Biobased Eutectic Hardeners

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 15, Page 3275-3288, 1 August 2026.
The curing of epoxidized linseed oil with citric, tartaric, and malic acid–based eutectic hardeners is compared to reveal how acid functionality, hydroxyl content, and molecular geometry govern activation energy, reaction rates, and network rigidity.

Ultrasound‐Assisted Extraction of Mucilage: An Approach for the Full Utilization of Ora‐Pro‐Nóbis Leaves

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Ora‐pro‐nóbis (OPN) leaves are remarkably high in mucilage content. Sustainable processing methods, such as ultrasound‐assisted extraction (UAE), can enhance the yield and functionality of OPN mucilage (OPNM). The resulting residue (OPNR) can be utilized to support circular economy approaches.

Nutritional Characterization of Selected South African Indigenous Seed Flours and Their Impact on Bread Baking Performance

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Diets based predominantly on refined cereal staples are associated with inadequate intake of high‐quality protein and essential micronutrients. This study evaluated five underutilized South African indigenous seed flours, Lowveld chestnut (Sterculia murex), marula (Sclerocarya birrea), forest mahogany (Trichilia dregeana), Natal mahogany ...

St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) Oil on Immune Response, Growth Performance and Bacterial Resistance Against Lactococcus garvieae Pathogen in Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, Volume 49, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In this study, we investigated the immunomodulatory effects of St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) oil on the growth performance, immune responses and resistance against Lactococcus garvieae in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The plant oil was incorporated into feeds at concentrations of 1, 3, and 5 g kg−1, designated as K1, K3, and K5,

Review of the existing maximum residue levels for clopyralid according to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract According to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, EFSA has reviewed the maximum residue levels (MRLs) currently established at European level for the pesticide active substance clopyralid. To assess the occurrence of clopyralid residues in plants, processed commodities, rotational crops and livestock, EFSA considered the conclusions ...

FATTY ACID PROFILE OF FLAXSEED OIL

open access: yes
The article presents an analysis of the fatty acid profile of flaxseed oil, a product with high biological value, obtained by gas-liquid chromatography using a Chromatak-Crystal 5000 gas chromatograph. The presence of 36 components was identified. The flaxseed oil showed a critically low content of α-linolenic and oleic acids.
