Maturity Prediction in Yellow Peach (Prunus persica L.) Cultivars Using a Fluorescence Spectrometer

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Technology for rapid, non-invasive and accurate determination of fruit maturity is increasingly sought after in horticultural industries. This study investigated the ability to predict fruit maturity of yellow peach cultivars using a prototype non ...

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

OBTAINING VITRO TUBERS OF WHITE AND PURPLE FLESH POTATOES IN ASEPTIC CULTURES OPERATED ON DOUBLE-PHASE TECHNIQUE [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Papers Series : Management, Economic Engineering in Agriculture and Rural Development, 2023
Due to the interest shown in our country regarding the cultivation and marketing of purple flesh potatoes, we set ourselves the problem of examining the aspects that facilitate in vitro cultivation and obtaining micro tubers that ensure the faster ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Effect of cultivar, flesh colour, locality and year on carotenoid content in potato tubers

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2016
In this study, twelve cultivars of potato with different flesh colour (yellow, purple and red) were cultivated in 2012 and 2013 in two trial localities in the Czech Republic and evaluated for the main individual carotenoids.

Organoleptic Evaluation and Determination of Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) Quality Based on Flesh Samples Between Post-Harvest Day 4 and Post-Harvest Day 8

open access: yesASM Science Journal, 2022
Consumer demands for fresh fruit with enhanced health-promoting properties. Fruit qualities are usually evaluated by organoleptic properties; colour, odour, taste, touch, and texture.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Effect of growing conditions and storage on the total anthocyanin content in potatoes with coloured flesh

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2018
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of cultivar, flesh colour, location, year and long-term cold storage on the total anthocyanin content (TAC) in the tubers of 12 potato cultivars with coloured flesh.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
