Influence of Turbulence Models on Simulated Flow Characteristics Over Ogee Spillways
The study investigated the simulation of flow characteristics over an Ogee-type spillway surface. This research utilizes a Flow-3D numerical model that builds upon the findings from prior experimental data and numerical models simulated by Ansys with a ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Assessment of casting filling by modeling surface entrainment events using CFD [PDF]
The reliability of cast components is dependent on the quality of the casting process. During this highly transient filling phase the prevention of free surface turbulence and consequential oxide entrainment is critical to ensure the mechanical integrity

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Effect of Gate Opening Height on the Hydraulic Jump Characteristics in an Open Channel [PDF]
Hydraulic jump is often used to dissipate energy of flow in open channels. Despite extensive study on hydraulic jump, effects of tail gate operation on hydraulic jump remains underexplored in the standard literature.

Computation of 2D vibroacoustic waves dispersion for optimizing acoustic power flow in interaction with adaptive metacomposites [PDF]
International audienceThis paper presents an integrated methodology for optimizing vibroacoustic energy flow in interaction between an adaptive metacomposite made of periodically distributed shunted piezoelectric material glued onto passive plate and ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Dimensionality influence on passive scalar transport [PDF]
We numerically investigate the advection of a passive scalar through an interface placed inside a decaying shearless turbulent mixing layer. We consider the system in both two and three dimensions.
