Power loss mechanisms and optimal induction factors for large offshore wind farms
Power loss mechanisms in large wind farms are complex due to the multiscale nature of wind farm aerodynamics. Recent studies based on ‘two-scale momentum theory’ have brought new insights into this field; however, most of them have been limited to ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Unsteady loss mechanisms in a boundary layer ingestion fan under inlet distortion
Boundary layer ingestion (BLI) propulsion can improve aircraft aerodynamic efficiency, but also introduces inlet distortion that affects fan flow and stability.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Measurement of dynamic permeability in grazing flows for porous trailing edges
Porous trailing edges attenuate hydrodynamic pressure fluctuations that scatter as trailing-edge noise, with their effectiveness governed by their material parameters.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Inferring free surface disturbance properties from Kelvin wakes using convolutional neural network
Kelvin wakes are fluid motions generated by a moving disturbance at a free surface. We present a machine learning-based framework for inferring the properties of such moving disturbances from the Kelvin-wake patterns.
