FReD: The floral reflectance spectra database [PDF]
Floral reflectance measurements are of great value to researchers who need consider the real colour of flowers, for example in the context of how the flowers appear to their pollinators.

Modeling and Visualization of Flower Color Patterns [PDF]
Flowers are familiar in virtual scenes, however, the design of flower patterns is still mainly done by hand. To produce a number of flower color patterns required by a large scene can be very labor-consuming. In this paper, we present a biologically-motivated algorithm for modeling and visualization of flower color patterns.

The incorporation of nondigested ECM and synthetic polymers into a co‐electrospinning system enables the decoupling of bioactivity and mechanical properties within a single wrap. This technique is used to develop a multifunctional bone wrap that achieves augmented membrane durability, sustained infection control, and enhanced vascularity for use in ...

Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Inheritance of double flower per peduncle and flower colour in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) [PDF]
The double-flower per peduncle trait is known to contribute to increased seed yield in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). Reciprocal crosses have been done between white single-flowered kabuli type (BARI chola-8) and the pink double-flowered deshi type (BARI
