Examination of Fluconazole-Induced Alopecia in an Animal Model and Human Cohort. [PDF]
Fluconazole-induced alopecia is a significant problem for patients receiving long-term therapy. We evaluated the hair cycle changes of fluconazole in a rat model and investigated potential molecular mechanisms.

Versatile Palladium‐Catalyzed C‐H Arylation of Fluoroarenes with 2‐Chloropyridine Derivatives
Direct C─H arylation of fluoroarenes with 2‐chloropyridines is enabled by a simple Pd/SPhos system in isopropyl acetate. The method uses inexpensive reactants and shows broad scope and high yields. DFT computations explain reactivity and selectivity.

Parallel evolution of fluconazole resistance and tolerance in Candida glabrata
IntroductionWith the growing population of immunocompromised individuals, opportunistic fungal pathogens pose a global health threat. Candida species, particularly C. albicans and non-albicans Candida species such as C.

Limited evidence exists synthesizing the risk of acute kidney injury (AKI) associated with the concomitant administration of multiple nephrotoxic drugs, and even less examining the concept of nephrotoxic burden. The objective of this scoping review was to (1) identify definitions of nephrotoxic burden; (2) methods used to quantify (use of calculations)

Comparative fitness trade-offs associated with azole resistance in Candida auris clinical isolates
Multidrug-resistant yeast Candida auris is a serious threat to public health with documented survival in various hospital niches. The dynamics of this survival benefit and its trade off with drug resistance are still unknown for this pathogen.
