Determining Salinity of Fluid Inclusions by Cryogenic Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2014
Chlorides are the most common and important solutes in liquid phase of natural fluid inclusions, but they are difficult to study by Laser Raman Microscopy (LRM) at room temperature, due to their strong ionic bonds, which are not Raman active under ...

Novel Crushing Technique for Measuring δ18O and δ2H Values of Fluid Inclusions (H2O) in Quartz Mineral Veins Using Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy

open access: yesGeofluids
Fluid inclusions in mineralized fracture infillings (i.e., veins) could preserve information about subsurface fluids like temperature and salinity.

Post-metamorphic fluid infiltration into granulites from the Adirondack Mountains, USA [PDF]

open access: yes
Post-metamorphic effects in the anorthosites of the Adirondacks, New York were described. Calcite-chlorite-sericite assemblages occur as veins, in disseminated form and as clots, and document retrograde fluid infiltration.

Inclusions induced phase separation in mixed lipid film

open access: yes, 1999
The effect of rigid inclusions on the phase behavior of a film containing a mixture of lipid molecules is investigated. In the proposed model, the inclusion-induced deformation of the film, and the resulting energy cost are strongly dependent upon the ...

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Fluid inclusions in reservoirs of Weixinan Sag, Beibuwan Basin

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2008
: To make sure the petroleum migrating direction and pool-forming model in the Weixinan sag, 4 wells were chosen to do research on fluid inclusions and petrography. The petroleum inclusions have three types: type I occurs in early cracks of quartz debris

Characteristics and carbon stable isotopes of fluids in the Southern Kerala granulites and their bearing on the source of CO2 [PDF]

open access: yes
Carbon dioxide-rich inclusions commonly occur in the banded charnockites and khondalites of southern Kerala as well as in the incipient charnockites formed by desiccation of gneisses along oriented zones.

Drag forces on inclusions in classical fields with dissipative dynamics

open access: yes, 2010
We study the drag force on uniformly moving inclusions which interact linearly with dynamical free field theories commonly used to study soft condensed matter systems.

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.
