Wavelength-interleaved MDM-WDM transmission over weakly-coupled FMF.
Recently mode-division-multiplexing (MDM) has been widely investigated to enhance fiber optics capacity, in which modes or mode groups in few-mode fiber (FMF) or multi-mode fiber (MMF) are exploited as different spatial channels for data transmission ...

Monolithic 3D Printing of Origami‐Inspired Soft Robotics from Sustainable Bio‐Based Resin
This work develops a photocurable, bio‐based resin from soybean oil for the monolithic fabrication of sustainable soft robots via Digital Light Processing. An origami‐inspired, vacuum‐actuated soft gripper is designed and fabricated, enabling reliable operation despite the material's lower elongation.

Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) is a severe complication of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA), driven by excessive activation of T cells and macrophages, resulting in a cytokine storm. IFN-γ and IL-18 play crucial roles, with monocyte and macrophage hyperresponsiveness to IFN-γ amplifying MAS-related inflammation.

Weakly-coupled 4-mode step-index FMF and demonstration of IM/DD MDM transmission.
Weakly coupled-mode division multiplexing (MDM) over few-mode fibers (FMF) for short-reach transmission has attracted great interest, which can avoid multiple-input-multiple-output digital signal processing (MIMO-DSP) by greatly suppressing modal ...

Microcanonical Analysis of Exactness of the Mean-Field Theory in Long-Range Interacting Systems
Classical spin systems with nonadditive long-range interactions are studied in the microcanonical ensemble. It is expected that the entropy of such a system is identical to that of the corresponding mean-field model, which is called "exactness of the ...

PReS-FINAL-2220: Cochlear involvement in FMF [PDF]
FMF is a monogenic autoinflammatory disease with recurring episodes of fever and serositis attacks. FMF is associated with mutations in pyrin. On the other hand mutations in a molecule in the same pathway, cryopyrin, is characterized by inflammatory features involving the inner ear as well.

Health conditions of first-degree relatives of children with familial Mediterranean fever
Background. Given the strong genetic background of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), the frequently reported co-existing diseases in children with FMF should also be investigated in other family members.
