Abstract BACKGROUND Recombinant protein expression in Escherichia coli frequently results in the formation of inclusion bodies (IBs), which provide high protein accumulation but often require additional steps to recover functional protein. Although culture conditions strongly influence IB physicochemical and structural characteristics, the impact of ...

[Obtainment of pineapple juice powder by foam-mat drying].
The foam-mat production and stability using pineapple juice concentrate (25, 30 and 40 degrees Brix), adding a surfactants mixture and maltodextrin (DE 10) as co-adjuvant, stirred in a commercial mixer, was studied. Adequate foam formation conditions were as follows: concentrate of 25 degrees Brix using surface active agents (Sorbac 60-Polisorbac 80) 0.

Recent Advances in Cryogel Applications for Musculoskeletal Regeneration
ABSTRACT Hydrogels have been widely used in tissue engineering due to their high‐water content and biocompatibility, yet their densely cross‐linked microstructure inherently limits cell infiltration, mass transport, and mechanical support. Cryogels, formed through partial freezing and crosslinking under subzero conditions, provide unique 3D macroporous

Moisture Absorption in Highly Porous Closed‐Cell Polymeric Foams
The conventional one‐dimensional hindered diffusion model has been extended into a new Void Filling Hindered Diffusion Model. By quantifying the moisture stored within closed‐cell pores, this model successfully captures the distinct absorption behaviors observed across varying foam thicknesses.
