Abstract In this clinicopathologic study of 16 cases of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, the median age at onset was 21 years. Sixty per cent had persistent microscopic hematuria, 88 per cent had the nephrotic syndrome, and all had steroid-resistant proteinuria.
