Chemical Composition and Repellent Activity of Strobilanthes tonkinensis Foliar Extract and Its Fractions Against Tribolium castaneum

The current study reveals that natural products derived from Strobilanthes tonkinensis leaves, specifically crude extracts and the compound estragole, exert strong repellent effects against Tribolium castaneum adults. Estragole exerts a dose‐ and time‐dependent repellent effect.

Blattscheiden 2-2,5 cm lang, kapuzenförmig ausgezogen. Dolden meist 10-25strahlig, ohne Hüllen und Hüllchen. Blüten klein, gelb.
