Analysis of Foliar Samples of Healthy and Dieback Eucalyptus obliqua

Australian Forestry, 1977
SUMMARY Foliar samples were collected and analysed from Eucalyptus obliqua (L'Herit.) at three localities. There were no statistically significant differences between healthy trees and dieback affected trees for foliar N, K, Ca, P, Mg, Na, Cu, Mn, Fe or Al.

Foliar Nutrient Concentration Differences Between Provenances of Douglas Fir and Their Significance to Foliar Analysis Interpretation

Canadian Journal of Forest Research, 1973
Foliar nutrient concentration differences between provenances, and the relationship between foliar nutrient levels and provenance growth was examined in Douglas fir (Pseudotsugamenziesii (Mirb.) Franco) from the coastal region of British Columbia. In the first experiment differences in foliar nutrient concentrations among four provenances of 3-year old

Using Soil and Foliar Analysis to Diagnose the Nutritional Status of Urban Trees

Arboriculture & Urban Forestry, 1995
During the past years, increased knowledge about the nutritional status of solitary trees has led to the development of soil and foliar analysis as a tool for the assessment of both chloride damage and nutrient deficiencies in The Netherlands. Data on threshold levels per tree species and element proportions are summarized. This enables the arborist to

Floral analysis cannot be considered as an alternative to the foliar diagnosis in the olive

Scientia Horticulturae, 2007
Abstract Correlations between macro and micronutrient concentration of olive leaves and those obtained in floral buds at five development stages, were studied in order to evaluate the utility of floral analysis for the diagnosis of the nutritional status of olive orchards. Olive leaves from ‘Arbequina’, ‘Frantoio’, ‘Hojiblanca’, ‘Bella de Espana’ and

Assessment of mineral nutrition of cork oak through foliar analysis

Communications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 1996
Abstract The changes in the mineral nutrient content of the leaves of an evergreen species, the cork oak (Quercus suber L.), were investigated to assess the possibilities of a diagnosis of the mineral nutrition of this forest species. A comprehensive pattern of change in the leaf contents of N, P, and Ca was then put forward from the data obtained ...

Foliar Exposure of Deuterium Stable Isotope-Labeled Nanoplastics to Lettuce: Quantitative Determination of Foliar Uptake, Transport, and Trophic Transfer in a Terrestrial Food Chain.

Environmental Science and Technology
Nanoplastics (NPs) are widely detected in the atmosphere and are likely to be deposited on plant leaves. However, our understanding of their foliar uptake, translocation, and trophic transfer profiles is limited due to a lack of quantitative analytical ...

Aggressiveness analysis of foliar fungi to leaves of wheat and rice crops

Archives Of Phytopathology And Plant Protection, 2006
Abstract The investigations were based on two surveys of wheat and one survey of rice. Alternaria alternata, Curvularia lunata, Helminthosporium tetramera and Bipolaris sorokiniana were isolated and identified from foliage and soil of both wheat and rice crops and their aggressiveness was studied by aggressiveness analysis screened out into different ...

Lime requirements of Boston ferns: II. Foliar and medium analysis

Communications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 1983
Abstract Growth response and nutrient levels in the foliage and growth medium were compared using Nephrolepsis exaltata (L.) Schott ‘Com‐pacta’ ferns grown in a peat‐perlite medium with 4 rates of dolo‐mitic limestone (0.0, 1.2, 2.4, and 6.0 kg/m3) and 2 rates of gypsum (0.0 and 1.2 kg/m3).
