Molecular mimicry of SARS-COV-2 antigens as a possible natural anti-cancer preventive immunization

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundIn the present study we investigated whether peptides derived from the entire SARS-CoV-2 proteome share homology to TAAs (tumor-associated antigens) and cross-reactive CD8+ T cell can be elicited by the BNT162b2 preventive vaccine or the SARS ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Bridging the gap between study outcomes and real-world results. Algorithm-driven management in a rural cardioMEMS population

open access: yesGlobal Cardiology
Current therapeutic strategies are ineffective at keeping heart failure patients out of hospital. In 2017, all-cause readmission rates were 19.9% at thirty-days and 34.6% at ninety-days.

Gas and seismicity within the Istanbul seismic gap

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Understanding micro-seismicity is a critical question for earthquake hazard assessment. Since the devastating earthquakes of Izmit and Duzce in 1999, the seismicity along the submerged section of North Anatolian Fault within the Sea of Marmara ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

On the Actual Basis for Establishing the Boundaries of Cultural Heritage in the form of Places of Interest. Part 1

open access: yesAcademia: Архитектура и строительство, 2019
Disputes around such a type of cultural heritage object as "Places of Interest" have not ceased since the adoption, in 2002, of Federal Law No. 73-FZ "On objects of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian ...
