Bayesian Stacked Parametric Survival with Frailty Components and Interval Censored Failure Times [PDF]
To better understand effects of exposure to food allergens, food challenge studies are designed to slowly increase the dose of an allergen delivered to allergic individuals until an objective reaction occurs. These dose-to-failure studies are used to determine acceptable intake levels and are analyzed using parametric failure time models.

Effect of Age on Allergen Responses of Allergic Patients in Southern Taiwan
To survey airborne and food allergen patterns in southern Taiwan and to analyze the effect of age on response to different allergens, we tested samples from 4,411 allergic patients at Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital using the MAST-CLA test (new ...

Sustainable Recipes. A Food Recipe Sourcing and Recommendation System to Minimize Food Miles [PDF]
Sustainable Recipes is a tool that (1) connects food recipes ingredient lists with the closest organic providers to minimize the distance that food travels from farm to food preparation site and (2) recommends recipes given a GPS coordinate to minimize food miles.

Understanding the food component of inflation [PDF]
This article presents evidence based on a panel of 35 countries over the past 30 years that the Phillips curve relation holds for food inflation. That is, broader economic overheating does push up the food component of the CPI in a systematic way. Further, general inflation expectations from professional forecasters clearly impact food price inflation.

Natural history of perceived food hypersensitivity and IgE sensitisation to food allergens in a cohort of adults. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: No longitudinal studies exist on the natural history of food hypersensitivity and IgE sensitisation to food allergens in adults. OBJECTIVE: To examine the natural history of food hypersensitivity, the natural history of IgE sensitisation to ...

Visual Aware Hierarchy Based Food Recognition [PDF]
Food recognition is one of the most important components in image-based dietary assessment. However, due to the different complexity level of food images and inter-class similarity of food categories, it is challenging for an image-based food recognition system to achieve high accuracy for a variety of publicly available datasets.
