SUPPLY ANALYSIS FOR CORN IN THE UNITED STATES: THE IMPACT OF CHANGING GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS [PDF]
This paper has two objectives: to analyze acreage supply relationships for corn, the major U.S. feed grain, during the 1948-70 period and to develop and test a general theoretical model for evaluating farm commodity program effectiveness.

The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Genetically modified plant–derived feed materials: results of official monitoring in Poland
Highly efficient animal rearing would be impossible without the use of high-protein feed. In Europe the main source of feed protein has become soybean meal imported from South America, where the majority of it is genetically modified.

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

ABSTRACT Capturing proteins is easy since their amphiphilic nature allows them to bind to almost any surface. Because of this, releasing them is challenging since various interactions need to be considered for this. We present a simple method to reversibly adsorb proteins on stabilized electrodes.

Feeding the planet between food security and food safety.
The issue of food is indeed a systemic problem involving fundamental aspects of the social, cultural and economic organisation of our planet. This paper focuses on the main aspects related to the concepts of food security and food safety. While the first problem mainly affects less developed countries, the second concerns diet in the developed world ...

Economic Outlook for Representative Dairies Given the August 2006 FAPRI/AFPC Baseline [PDF]
While projected milk prices are a primary determinant of the financial viability of the representative dairies, the prices of feed crops and cattle prices can also have an impact. Most of the dairies produce hay, silage, and other crops and are often net
