Four-way regulation of mosquito yolk protein precursor genes by juvenile hormone-, ecdysone-, nutrient-, and insulin-like peptide signaling pathways. [PDF]
Anautogenous mosquito females require a meal of vertebrate blood in order to initiate the production of yolk protein precursors by the fat body. Yolk protein precursor gene expression is tightly repressed in a state-of-arrest before blood meal-related ...

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Roles of binding elements, FOXL2 domains, and interactions with cJUN and SMADs in regulation of FSHβ. [PDF]
We previously identified FOXL2 as a critical component in FSHβ gene transcription. Here, we show that mice deficient in FOXL2 have lower levels of gonadotropin gene expression and fewer LH- and FSH-containing cells, but the same level of other pituitary ...

The forkhead transcription factor Foxc2 stimulates osteoblast differentiation
The forkhead box C2 (Foxc2) protein is a member of the family of winged helix/forkhead transcription factors. Foxc2-deficient mice display defective formation of the aortic arches, multiple craniofacial bones, and vertebral columns. To investigate the role of Foxc2 in osteoblast differentiation, DNA containing Foxc2 was transfected into the developing ...

Targeting forkhead box M1 transcription factor in breast cancer [PDF]
Breast cancer continues to be the most commonly diagnosed malignancy and second most common cause of cancer-related deaths among women in the United States. Improved understanding of the molecular heterogeneity of breast tumors and the approval of multiple targeted therapies have revolutionized the treatment landscape and long-term survival rates for ...

This study developed a 3D endometrial assembloid model to study how uterine glands form and develop. They discovered key interactions between different cell types and identified WNT7B as a regulator controlled by estradiol‐mediated TGFβ1‐VDR interaction.

Advances in Research on the Mechanisms of FOXO in Renal Mitochondrial Autophagy
Forkhead box O (FOXO) transcription factors serve as critical signaling hubs, initiating downstream autophagy-related gene expression in response to various growth factors and participating in mitochondrial autophagy, thereby influencing cellular damage ...

MEF2C regulates outflow tract alignment and transcriptional control of Tdgf1 [PDF]
Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defects in humans, and those that affect the proper alignment of the outflow tracts and septation of the ventricles are a highly significant cause of morbidity and mortality in infants.

This study identifies the transcription factor ETV1 as a key driver of CD4⁺ T cell‐mediated intestinal inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). ETV1 promotes CD4⁺ T cell activation, proliferation, and Th17 differentiation by activating the amino acid transporter SLC7A5, fueling metabolic reprogramming.
