Forkhead box transcription factor regulation and lipid accumulation by hepatitis C virus [PDF]
We have previously shown that hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection modulates the expression of forkhead box transcription factors, including FoxO1 and FoxA2, which play key roles in gluconeogenesis and β-oxidation of fatty acid, respectively. The aim of the

Ontogeny of RSPO1, FOXL2, and RUNX1 during ovarian differentiation in the marsupial tammar wallaby
Abstract Background RSPO1 and FOXL2 are female sex‐determining genes involved in the differentiation and organization of the ovary in some eutherian mammals. Mutations or loss of function of these genes are associated with partial to full sex reversal in mice, humans, and goats.

In budding yeast, activation of many DNA replication origins is regulated by their chromatin environment, whereas others fire in early S phase regardless of their chromosomal location. Several location-independent origins contain at least two divergently

Somatic cell reprogramming for Parkinson's disease treatment
The fundamental purpose of cell reprogramming to treat Parkinson's disease is to generate dopaminergic neurons (DAN) and do transplantation. There are two ways to accomplish this. One method is to induce cells into induced DA neurons (iDAN) directly or to induce cells into induced pluripotent stem cells and ultimately into iDAN in vitro. Another option

Role of forkhead transcription factors in endocrine sensitive and resistant breast cancer cell lines
Breast cancer is a major concern worldwide as it accounts for one of the highest causes of death. Oestrogen which is widely known for its growth-promoting function in mammary gland has been linked to breast cancer pathogenesis.

Role of Forkhead Transcription Factors in Myocardial Ischemic Reperfusion Injury in Diabetes [PDF]
Diabetes, characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from either insulin deficiency or insulin resistance, is a chronic metabolic disorder. Hearts of subjects with diabetes are more sensitive to myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury but the underlying ...

We identified FOXA2 as a key regulator of lymph node metastasis in thyroid cancer, which controls cancer cell aggressiveness. FOXA2 knockdown promotes metastasis by enhancing tumor cell migration and, importantly, by inducing T‐cell apoptosis through a CCL2/LCN2‐mediated pathway. Created with BioGDP.com.
