Parenteral formulation of zopiclone

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2008
The present study was undertaken with an intention to develop a stable and effective parenteral formulation, containing the drug zopiclone. Since zopiclone is a water insoluble drug, various methods such as co-solvency, pH control and hydrotrophy have been tried in order to enhance its solubility.

Unlocking norepinephrine potential innovations in formulation and smart systems

open access: yesDiscover Pharmaceutical Sciences
Norepinephrine (NE), a critical neurotransmitter and hormone, profoundly influences cardiovascular function and stress response. However, inherent pharmacokinetic challenges, notably rapid enzymatic degradation and a short half-life, mandate continuous ...

The nonglycosylated variant in therapeutic monoclonal antibodies preferentially forms large aggregates under typical thermal stresses used in forced degradation studies

open access: yesmAbs
Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) feature a conserved N-linked glycosylation site in the CH2 domain, which exhibits heterogeneities in both occupancy and glycan structures. Previous studies have suggested that the unoccupied (nonglycosylated) variant exhibits

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Special Issue “Pharmaceutical Solid Forms: From Crystal Structure to Formulation”

open access: yes
This Special Issue aims to highlight the interest of characterizing the structural aspects of an API before its formulation, as much work is required between the discovery of a molecule with a therapeutic effect and its formulation [...

Dielectric Formulation of the Nuclear Many-Body Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
It is known in the case of an electron gas that the Coulomb force between electrons is screened due to the density variation around the electrons. In a similar way the force acting between nucleons in nuclear matter may be appreciably different from

Evaluating the Compatibility of Three Aluminum Salt-Adjuvanted Recombinant Protein Antigens (Trivalent NRRV) Combined with a Mock Trivalent Sabin-IPV Vaccine: Analytical and Formulation Challenges

open access: yesVaccines
In this work, we describe compatibility assessments of a recombinant, trivalent non-replicating rotavirus vaccine (t-NRRV) candidate with a mock trivalent Sabin inactivated polio vaccine (t-sIPV).

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
