The Microsoft 2016 Conversational Speech Recognition System

open access: yes, 2017
We describe Microsoft's conversational speech recognition system, in which we combine recent developments in neural-network-based acoustic and language modeling to advance the state of the art on the Switchboard recognition task.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Source Process Estimation for the 2024 Mw 7.1 Hyuganada, Japan, Earthquake and Forward Modeling Using N‐net Ocean Bottom Seismometer Data

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
The source process of the 2024 Mw 7.1 Hyuganada, Japan, earthquake was investigated using waveform inversion of the onshore strong motion records obtained from the region west of the source area.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Integrating Forward Modeling and Deep Learning for Precise Detection of Geological Anomalies in Coal Seams Using the Radio Imaging Method

open access: yesIEEE Access
The radio imaging method (RIM) is a non-destructive detection technique widely used in geophysical surveys and monitoring. However, it currently faces challenges in accurately detecting geological anomalies.

The Inversion of the Real Kinematic Properties of Coronal Mass Ejections by Forward Modeling

open access: yes, 2010
The kinematic properties of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) suffer from the projection effects, and it is expected that the real velocity should be larger and the real angular width should be smaller than the apparent values.

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.
