Widely Distributed Pigeon Paramyxovirus Sub‐Genotypes Pose a Risk to Immunocompromised Humans
ABSTRACT Introduction Pigeon paramyxovirus type 1 (PPMV‐1) is an antigenic variant of Avian Orthoavulavirus 1 (AOAV‐1) (Newcastle disease virus) with a global distribution that causes lethal infections in pigeon and dove species. AOAV‐1's infecting humans normally cause mild, self‐limiting conjunctivitis, but since 2003, PPMV‐1 has been associated with

Hydropericardium syndrome outbreak caused by fowl adenovirus serotype 4 in China in 2015
There have been many outbreaks of hydropericardium syndrome (HPS), which is characterized by pericardial effusion and hepatitis, in Chinese chicken farms since June 2015. HPS was mainly found in miscellaneous meat-type chickens, Ma chickens, layer chicks and Three-yellow chickens, while it was occasionally found in white broilers.

Penton-dodecahedron of fowl adenovirus serotype 4 as a vaccine candidate for the control of related diseases [PDF]
In some serotypes of adenovirus (Ad), the penton base and attached trimeric fiber assemble into dodecameric virus-like particles called penton-dodecahedron (Pt-Dd), which can be internalized and used to deliver the vaccine antigens and drugs. Fowl adenovirus serotype 4 (FAdV-4) is an important pathogen, causing seriously economic loss to poultry ...

Fowl adenovirus serotype 4: Epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnostic detection, and vaccine strategies
Fowl adenovirus (FAdV) serotype-4 is highly pathogenic for chickens, especially for broilers aged 3 to 5 wk, and it has emerged as one of the foremost causes of economic losses to the poultry industry in the last 30 years. The liver is a major target organ of FAdV-4 infections, and virus-infected chickens usually show symptoms of hydropericardium ...

Flagellins as Vaccine Adjuvants and Cancer Immunotherapy: Recent Advances and Future Prospects
The figure depicts the role of flagellin in immune cells. Flagellin interacts with TLR5, resulting in the formation of homodimers and the recruitment of MyD88, which activates the IκB and MAPK signalling pathways. This results in the activation of NF‐κB and AP‐1, producing TNF‐α, IL‐6, IL‐8, and IL‐12.
