Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Nonlinear free vibration analysis of elastically supported carbon nanotube-reinforced composite beam with the thermal environment in non-deterministic framework

open access: yesCurved and Layered Structures, 2017
This paper deals with the investigation of nonlinear free vibration behavior of elastically supported carbon nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) beam subjected to thermal loading with random system properties.

Absence of phase transition in random language model

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2022
The random language model, proposed as a simple model of human languages, is defined by the averaged model of a probabilistic context-free grammar. This grammar expresses the process of sentence generation as a tree graph with nodes having symbols as ...

Free probability of type B: analytic interpretation and applications

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper we give an analytic interpretation of free convolution of type B, introduced by Biane, Goodman and Nica, and provide a new formula for its computation. This formula allows us to show that free additive convolution of type B is essentially a

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

Two-machine flowshop scheduling problem to minimize makespan or total completion time with random and bounded setup times

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
This paper addresses the two-machine flowshop scheduling problem with separate setup times to minimize makespan or total completion time (TCT). Setup times are relaxed to be random variables rather than deterministic as commonly used in the OR literature.

Reactive Power Optimization for Distribution Network Based on Distributed Random Gradient-Free Algorithm

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The increasing penetration of distributed energy resources in distribution systems has brought a number of network management and operational challenges; reactive power variation has been identified as one of the dominant effects.

Probabilistic approaches and reliability design of power modules [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal for Simulation and Multidisciplinary Design Optimization, 2008
The weak point for the standard power IGBT modules in terms of reliability is thermal fatigue in solder joints due to the thermal stress induced by constitutive materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE). So far, many researches are

Limits laws for geometric means of free random variables [PDF]

open access: yesIndiana University Mathematics Journal, 2010
Let $\{T_{k}\}_{k=1}^{\infty}$ be a family of *--free identically distributed operators in a finite von Neumann algebra. In this work we prove a multiplicative version of the free central limit Theorem. More precisely, let $B_{n}=T_{1}^{*}T_{2}^{*}... T_{n}^{*}T_{n}...
