On the high frequency limit of the LLL equation

open access: yes, 2016
International audienceWe derive heuristically an integro-differential equation, as well as a shell model, governing the dynamics of the Lowest Landau Level equation in a high frequency ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Higher-harmonic adaptation and the detection of squarewave gratings [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Adaptation to a high contrast sinewave grating of 1 c/deg spatial frequency causes a large increase in the contrast threshold for a 1 c/deg test grating, but fails to raise the threshold for a squarewave grating of 0.33 c/deg, although the sensitivity of

Synchronization of Two Non-Identical Coupled Exciters in a Non-Resonant Vibrating System of Linear Motion. Part I: Theoretical Analysis

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2009
In this paper an analytical approach is proposed to study the feature of frequency capture of two non-identical coupled exciters in a non-resonant vibrating system.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

The time-frequency poles of a differential equation

open access: yes, 2011
A linear differential equation in the time domain can be transformed to an equation in the time-frequency domain of the Wigner distribution. Even though the Wigner distribution is a nonlinear transform, the obtained time-frequency equation is still ...

Generalized Nonlinear Wave Equation in Frequency Domain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We interpret the forward Maxwell equation with up to third order induced polarizations and get so called nonlinear wave equation in frequency domain (NWEF), which is based on Maxwell wave equation and using slowly varying spectral amplitude approximation.

Application of a simplified probe feed impedance formula to the design of a dual frequency patch antenna

open access: yes, 2009
A simplified probe feed input impedance for a rectangular patch antenna based on the Green's function is used to design a dual frequency matched antenna.

Analysis of the Main Factors Influencing the Dominant Frequency of Blast Vibration

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2019
At present, the study on the dominant frequency of blasting vibration is still a worldwide problem. Compared with the mature research on the particle peak velocity of blasting vibration, the researches on the dominant frequency of blasting vibration are ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have
