Long Run And Cyclical Dynamics In The Us Stock Market [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper examines the long-run dynamics and the cyclical structure of the US stock market using fractional integration techniques. We implement a version of the tests of Robinson (1994a), which enables one to consider unit roots with possibly ...

Erasure Insertion in RS-Coded SFH MFSK Subjected to Tone Jamming and Rayleigh Fading

open access: yes, 2005
The achievable performance of Reed Solomon (RS) coded slow frequency hopping (SFH) assisted M-ary frequency shift keying (MFSK) using various erasure insertion (EI) schemes is investigated, when communicating over uncorrelated Rayleigh fading channels in

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Comparison of Statistical Analysis Models for Susceptibility Assessment of Earthquake-Triggered Landslides: A Case Study from 2015 Earthquake in Lefkada Island

open access: yesGeosciences, 2019
The main purpose of this study is to comparatively assess the susceptibility of earthquake-triggered landslides in the island of Lefkada (Ionian Islands, Greece) using two different statistical analysis models, a bivariate model represented by frequency ...

Time dependent spin-dressing using a $^3$He atomic beam

open access: yes, 2012
We have performed high precision experimental measurements of spin precession using a dressed $^3$He atomic beam. Spin-dressing uses an oscillating magnetic field detuned to high frequency which is orthogonal to a static magnetic field to effectively ...

Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.
