Estimation of contact forces and tire road friction
In this paper an estimation scheme is used to built using a robust differentiator and sliding modes. This allows us to identify the tire road friction. The estimations are produced in three cascaded steps of observers and estimators. The first produces estimations of velocities and accelerations.

Disorder‐Broadened Topological Hall Phase and Anomalous Hall Scaling in FeGe
By systematically introducing defects into FeGe via ion‐beam modification, we demonstrate that disorder broadens the temperature regime over which the topological Hall effect ‐ a signature of skyrmions or other chiral textures — appears, while also increasing its magnitude.

DEVICES AND METHODS OF INVESTIGATIONS OF CONTACT INTERACTION OF SOLIDS
The processes occurring in the contact of solids differ in their variety, their dependence on the scale of the region under consideration and the values of the acting forces.

The analysis of optical eigenmodes in chiral liquid crystal with perpendicular or tilted helical axis, and their correspondence with the external medium, leads to an intuitive understanding of the angle and wavelength dependency of transmissive and reflective diffraction.

Inspired by skeletal muscles’ precision and endurance, CoilLCE integrates a self‐sensing liquid crystal elastomer/graphene artificial muscle with an embedded Joule‐heating copper coil, enabling closed‐loop multistage actuation with programmable intermediate states (strain accuracy of 2%), and antagonistic coordination (32% total strain). These features

Time-to-Contact Estimation Modulated by Implied Friction
The present study demonstrated that friction cues for target motion affect time-to-contact (TTC) estimation. A circular target moved in a linear path with a constant velocity and was gradually occluded by a static rectangle. The target moved with forward and backward spins or without spin.
