Osteoarthritis: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Advances

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2025.
A schematic illustration of the pathogenesis and emerging therapeutic strategies for OA, including: risk factors and molecular mechanisms of OA, joint changes between healthy and OA conditions, and current emerging therapeutic approaches for OA. Abbreviations: IA: intra‐articular injection; EVs: extracellular vesicles. ABSTRACT Osteoarthritis (OA) is a

Lobaric Acid Exhibits Anticancer Potential by Modulating the Wnt/β‐Catenin Signaling Pathway in MCF‐7 Cells

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 13, Issue 4, August 2025.
Effect of lobaric acid on Wnt/β‐catenin pathway in breast cancer. ABSTRACT Lichen secondary metabolites with many remarkable biological activities are used in cancer treatments due to their low side effects and high anticancer potential. In particular, these metabolites constitute an interesting research area in cancer treatments due to their potential

Immunohistochemical study of the canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway in colorectal carcinoma and non-neoplastic mucosa

open access: yesJournal of Coloproctology, 2015
Colorectal cancer is linked to several signaling pathways such as Wnt pathway. Our objective is to detect and verify the integrity of protein members of Wnt signaling pathway in colorectal carcinoma and non-neoplastic colorectal tissue.

Progress in the development of modulators targeting Frizzleds

open access: yesPharmacological Research
The Frizzleds (FZDs) receptors on the cell surface belong to the class F of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) which are the major receptors of WNT protein that mediates the classical WNT signaling pathway and other non-classical pathways. Besides, the FZDs also play a core role in tissue regeneration and tumor occurrence.

Canagliflozin protects cardiovascular function in type 2 diabetic coronary artery disease by regulating natriuretic peptide B

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 16, Issue 8, Page 1430-1444, August 2025.
Canagliflozin regulated the cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)‐protein kinase 1‐α signaling pathway through the natriuretic peptide B gene, thereby improving cell viability, apoptosis, and reactive oxygen species levels, and ultimately protecting cardiac function in type 2 diabetic patients with coronary artery disease.

Novel Para‐Phenylenediamine‐Based Derivatives as Receptor Tyrosine Kinase‐like Orphan Receptor 1 (ROR1) Inhibitors: An In Vitro Preliminary Characterization

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 20, Issue 14, July 18, 2025.
ROR1 represents a promising target for the development of novel antiproliferative compounds, giving its high expression in different cancer cell lines. The present study describes the workflow leading to the design, synthesis, and characterization of a series of para‐phenylenediamine‐based compounds able to interact with the target kinase, inhibiting ...
