Structural dynamics of the plant hormone receptor ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment
The present study unveils the structural and signaling dynamics of ETR1, a key plant ethylene receptor. Using an optimized nanodisc system and solution NMR, we captured full‐length ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment. Our findings reveal dynamic domain uncoupling and Cu(I)‐induced rigidification, providing the first evidence of metal‐triggered ...

Modelling intra-daily volatility by functional data analysis: an empirical application to the spanish stock market [PDF]
We propose recent functional data analysis techniques to study the intra-daily volatility. In particular, the volatility extraction is based on functional principal components and the volatility prediction on functional AR(1) models.

A working model for cytoplasmic assembly of H/ACA snoRNPs
Dyskerin is the component of nuclear H/ACA ribonucleoproteins (RNPs) endowed with pseudouridine synthase catalytic activity. Two isoforms of human dyskerin have been characterized: the abundant Iso1, mainly nuclear, and the shorter Iso3, mainly cytoplasmic but occasionally imported into nuclei.

A Fold Bifurcation Theorem of Degenerate Solutions in a Perturbed Nonlinear Equation
We consider a nonlinear equation F(ε,λ,u)=0, where the parameter ε is a perturbation parameter, F is a differentiable mapping from R×R×X to Y, and X, Y are Banach spaces.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is of huge importance, resulting in over 1 million deaths each year. Here, we describe how a new drug, enmetazobactam, designed to help fight resistant bacterial diseases, inhibits a key enzyme (GES‐1) responsible for AMR. Our data show it is a more potent inhibitor than the related tazobactam, with high‐level computation

Novel and unscrutinized immune entities of the zebrafish gut
Understudied cells of the zebrafish immune system include bona fide immune cells and epithelial (‐derived) cells with immune functions. Research focusing on zebrafish cells which demonstrate similarities to mammalian immune cell counterparts may help us understand the pathologies in which they are implicated. Currently available and advanced tools make

Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals an opposite role of SLPI in basal tumors based on metastatic spread, along with shared activation of specific regulons in cancer cells and mature luminal lactocytes, as well as downregulation of MALAT1 and NEAT1 in the latter.

SOME EMBEDDINGS RELATED TO HOMOGENEOUS TRIEBEL–LIZORKIN SPACES AND THE BMO FUNCTIONS
As the homogeneous Triebel–Lizorkin space $\dot{F}_{p,q}^s$ and the space BMO are defined modulo polynomials and constants, respectively, we prove that BMO coincides with the realized space of $\dot{F}_{\infty, 2}^0$ and cannot be directly identified ...

Cancer cell death induced by the NAD antimetabolite Vacor discloses the antitumor potential of SARM1
Vacor, a compound converted into the toxic metabolite Vacor adenine dinucleotide (VAD) by the nicotinamide salvage pathway enzymes NAMPT and NMNAT2, exhibits antitumor activity by inducing rapid and complete NAD depletion. We report that Vacor toxicity is limited to cell lines expressing high levels of SARM1, a NAD glycohydrolase.

Principal Component Analysis for Functional Data on Riemannian Manifolds and Spheres
Functional data analysis on nonlinear manifolds has drawn recent interest. Sphere-valued functional data, which are encountered for example as movement trajectories on the surface of the earth, are an important special case.
