Functional Equations of Generalized Epstein Zeta Functions in Several Complex Variables [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1971
LetS(n)be the matrix of a positive definite quadratic form andDefine1.Here the sum is over unimodular matriceswhich lie in a complete set of representatives for the equivalence relationwithPunimodular and having block ...

Reconciling concepts of black queen and tragedy of the commons in simulated bulk soil and rhizosphere prokaryote communities

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2022
The Black Queen hypothesis describes the evolutionary strategy to lose costly functions in favour of improving growth efficiency. This results in mutants (cheaters) becoming obligately dependent upon a provider (black queen) to produce a necessary ...

On solutions of several Fermat-type partial differential-difference equations in C2

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
In this paper, we study entire solutions of several Fermat-type partial differential-difference equations in C2 ${\mathbb{C}}^{2}$ by applying Nevanlinna theory of meromorphic functions in several complex variables.

New operational relations for mathematical models of local nonequilibrium heat transfer

open access: yesРоссийский технологический журнал, 2022
Objectives. Recently, interest in studying local nonequilibrium processes has increased in the context of the development of laser technologies, the possibility of reaching ultrahigh temperatures and pressures, and the need for a mathematical description

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Molecular theory of solvation: Methodology summary and illustrations

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2015
Integral equation theory of molecular liquids based on statistical mechanics is quite promising as an essential part of multiscale methodology for chemical and biomolecular nanosystems in solution.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Theoretical Studies of Nonlinear Relaxation Electrophysical Phenomena in Dielectrics with Ionic–Molecular Chemical Bonds in a Wide Range of Fields and Temperatures

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
This paper is devoted to the development of generalized (for a wide range of fields (100 kV/m–1000 MV/m) and temperatures (0–1500 K) in the radio frequency range (1 kHz–500 MHz)) methods for the theoretical investigation of the physical mechanism of ...
