ISSUES CONCERNING THE USE OF UML DIAGRAMS TO DEFINE THE UNDERLYING PROCESS MODEL SIMULATION [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Petrosani: Economics, 2011
Diagrams are a graphical representation of the information contained in a UML model, and are an essential feature of UML modelling. Each UML diagram is designed to let you view a software system from a different perspective and to varying levels of ...

Functional macroscopic behavior of weighted random ball model

open access: yes, 2010
We consider a generalization of the weighted random ball model. The model is driven by a random Poisson measure with a product heavy tailed intensity measure.

A Model-Driven approach for functional test case generation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Test phase is one of the most critical phases in software engineering life cycle to assure the final system quality. In this context, functional system test cases verify that the system under test fulfills its functional specification.

Phase transition in a log-normal Markov functional model

open access: yes, 2011
We derive the exact solution of a one-dimensional Markov functional model with log-normally distributed interest rates in discrete time. The model is shown to have two distinct limiting states, corresponding to small and asymptotically large volatilities,

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Fusion hierarchies, $T$-systems and $Y$-systems for the $A_2^{(1)}$ models

open access: yes, 2018
The family of $A^{(1)}_2$ models on the square lattice includes a dilute loop model, a $15$-vertex model and, at roots of unity, a family of RSOS models.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Presenting an Object- Oriented Functional Model for Diabetes Registry Software

open access: yesمجله انفورماتیک سلامت و زیست پزشکی, 2016
Introduction: Diabetes registry needs a system to collect, process and distribute patients’ information. In this field, a software that can completely solve the needs of users is not available.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
