G-rich oligonucleotide-functionalized gold nanoparticle aggregation

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2007
Guanine-rich DNA sequences commonly form helical quadruplex structures via Hoogsteen hydrogen bonds. The aggregation behavior of the nanoparticles, which are functionalized with four-guanine-terminated 27-base sequences at a nanoparticle-to-DNA ratio of 1:60, is investigated.

Functionalized nanocomposite coating of a glass surface for oligonucleotide immobilization

Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry, 2006
A new type of coating for manufacturing DNA chips was constructed of the basis of an organic-inorganic nanocomposite based on the polyvinylbutyral-tetraethoxysilane copolymer. The organosilicon composite was functionalized by introduction of ethanolamine vinyl ether copolymers, which contain amino groups and anchor vinyloxide units capable of reacting ...

Modulation of RNA function by oligonucleotides recognizing RNA structure

2001
Numerous RNA structures are responsible for regulatory processes either because they constitute a signal, like the hairpins or pseudoknots involved in ribosomal frameshifting, or because they are binding sites for proteins such as the trans-activating responsive RNA element of the human immunodeficiency virus whose binding to the viral protein Tat and ...

Functionalization of PVC membrane with ss oligonucleotides for a potentiometric biosensor

Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2007
A novel application of a single stranded (ss) oligonucleotide as an active component of polymeric membrane in an ion-selective electrode (ISE) is described. The original oligonucleotides, oligo(dA)(15), modified by cholesterol, triphenylmethyl and hexadecyl derivatives, were immobilized into poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane using extraction protocol.

High-throughput synthesis of functionalized oligonucleotides.

Nucleic acids symposium series, 1998
Functionalization of oligonucleotides with fluorescent dyes, biotin, and other reporter and capture labels is efficient, reliable, and convenient on the ABI 3948. The entire process of sequence entry, oligonucleotide synthesis, cleavage, deprotection, purification, quantitation, and sample collection is automated.

Target validation and functional analyses using antisense oligonucleotides

Expert Opinion on Therapeutic Targets, 2001
The human genome project (HGP) has been described as the single most important project in biology and the biomedical sciences to date. In February 2001, the efforts of the HGP resulted in the publication of a 'working draft' of the entire human genome and it is expected that final sequencing and annotation of the genome will be completed by 2003 ...

OLIGONUCLEOTIDE-FUNCTIONALIZED HYDROPHOBIC POLYMER NANOPARTICLES

2019
The present invention concerns an oligonucleotide-functionalized hydrophobic polymer nanoparticle comprising at least one energy donor dye and at least one energy acceptor dye, obtained from a dye-loaded polymeric nanoparticle, and being functionalized by :(a) target-specific oligonucleotides, and(b) non-specific oligonucleotides, and wherein the energy
