A Holistic Characterization of Soy Protein Isolates From Different Breeding Lines

open access: yesSustainable Food Proteins, Volume 4, Issue 1, March 2026.
A roadmap illustrating how variability among soybean genotypes translates into structural and compositional differences that govern functionality, off‐flavor development, and protein quality. ABSTRACT Soy protein remains the leading plant protein in the growing alternative protein market.

pH‐dependent electrochemical oxidation of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural: Reaction mechanism, catalyst design, and reactor design across alkaline to acidic media

open access: yesSmart Molecules, Volume 4, Issue 1, March 2026.
This review summarizes the progress in pH‐dependent electrochemical oxidation of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural for value‐added chemical production. It highlights how pH dictates reaction mechanisms and product selectivity, discusses strategies for designing effective electrocatalysts tailored for alkaline, near‐neutral, or acidic electrolytes, and explores ...

1D and 3D Carbon Nanomaterials Derived from Zeolite‐Based Catalysts: Synthesis and Applications

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Zeolites act as catalysts or catalytic templates to synthesize 1D and 3D carbon nanomaterials with uniform structures, enabled by their high surface area and uniform porous frameworks. The resulting carbon nanomaterials possess excellent surface area and electronic conductivity, supporting their use in energy storage, catalysis, electronics, gas ...

Nonconventional Clusteroluminescence From Cationic Polymerization Derived Unconjugated Poly(2,3‐Dihydrofuran)

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
This work presents a novel class of nonconjugated polymers synthesized via cationic polymerization of 2,3‐dihydrofuran that exhibit strong photoluminescence in both solution and the solid state, despite lacking extended conjugation or traditional chromophores in poly(2,3‐dihydrofuran) (PDHF).
