Furans

2014
International audience ; Polymer networks derived from furan monomers are discussed, with particular emphasis on recent contributions. Resins based on furfural and furfuryl alcohol represent the most important family within this context, but other materials are becoming relevant, such as polyurethane foams, various photo-curable macromolecules bearing ...

Determination of furan and furan derivatives in baby food

Food Chemistry, 2018
A Headspace-Solid Phase Microextraction-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of furan, 2-methylfuran, 2-ethylfuran, 2-butylfuran, 2-pentylfuran, 2-acetylfuran, furfural and furfuryl alcohol in jarred baby food. The method was specific for the analytes.
