Energetic Azoxy‐Coupled Tetrazoles
5‐Amino‐2‐methyl‐tetrazole, above, left, when reacted with Oxone affords a transiently stable nitroso intermediate (blue solution). When the nitroso is reacted to completion, 5,5′‐azoxy‐bis‐2,2′‐methyl‐tetrazole is yielded as yellow rods. For scale reference, the microscope slide the crystals rest on is 22 mm × 22 mm. ABSTRACT Azoxy coupling of 5‐amino‐

Tuning Green Explosives through SNAr Chemistry
Graphical abstract showing a new concept for tuning the properties of environmentally benign primary explosives based on SNAr click‐chemistry. Abstract Reactivity and regioselectivity of SNAr‐type fluorine substitution with azide in polyfluorosubstituted nitrobenzenes was studied both theoretically and experimentally. The obtained polyazido‐substituted

Naphthyl‐Based Chalcone Derivatives: A Multifaceted Player in Medicinal Chemistry
This review insights the pharmacological activity of naphthyl substituted chalcone derivatives. The anticancer and antibacterial activities were more explored than other activities. The presence of methoxy and naphthyl moiety enhanced the anticancer activity. The antibacterial activity was increased by electron withdrawing groups.

Oridonin from Rabdosia rubescens: An emerging potential in cancer therapy – A comprehensive review
Oridonin (ORI), an ent‐kaurane diterpenoid, naturally found in the leaves of Rabdosia rubescens species, has been found to have antitumor and antiangiogenic properties. It inhibits several cancer‐signaling pathways like NFκB, PI3K, BCL2, BCLX, and p53‐mediated pathways.

A Novel Melt Cast Composite Booster Formulation Based on DNTF/TNT/GAP-ETPE/Nano-HMX
To obtain the melt cast booster explosive formulation with high energy and low critical detonation diameter, melt cast explosives were designed by 3,4-bis(3-nitrofurazan-4-yl)furoxan (DNTF)/2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT)/glycidyl azide polymer-energetic ...

Inspired by the aberrant upregulation of DNA‐repairing RAD51, scavenger receptor B type 1 (SR‐B1), and C‐C motif chemokine ligand 5 (CCL5) in GBM patients, a reduction‐sensitive nitric oxide donor conjugate of furoxans–gemcitabine (NG) is rationally synthesized and a CCL5‐modified bioinspired lipoprotein system of C‐LNG is designed, which ...

Analysis of degradation products in thermally treated TATB
Abstract Delineating the chemical composition of TATB (1,3,5‐triamino‐2,4,6‐trinitrobenzene) residues produced from the exposure to abnormal thermal environments should lead to a better understanding of the decomposition paths. Identifying and quantifying each compound in thermally produced residues, monitors which compounds are degrading or forming ...

A surprising new route to 4-nitro-3-phenylisoxazole
A one-pot synthesis of 4-nitro-3-phenylisoxazole has been carried out by treatment of cinnamyl alcohol dissolved in acetic acid with sodium nitrite; in addition, 4-phenyl-3-furoxanmethanol was obtained in 40% yield.
