Transcriptomic analysis from 3D cultures of Presilinin‐1 G206A carriers reveals genetic expression differences associated with age‐of‐onset variability [PDF]

open access: yesAlzheimers Dement
Abstract Background The Presenilin‐1 (PSEN1) G206A mutation has been identified in Puerto Ricans (PRs) with Alzheimer disease (AD), as a founder effect in the African ancestral background. The G206A mutation exhibits large age‐of‐onset (AOO) variation (range 30‐90 years) between carriers.

Prognostically Significant Glycan Profiles of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma Identified by Integrated Glycome–Methylome Analysis

open access: yesPathology International, Volume 76, Issue 1, January 2026.
Comprehensive glycomics analysis and genome‐wide DNA methylation analysis using tissue samples of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) have revealed that the glycan profile, including “immature” N‐type glycans, may be attributable to epigenetic regulation of glycogenes.

Whole-exome sequencing validates a preclinical mouse model for the prevention and treatment of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas (cSCC) are among the most common and highly mutated human malignancies. Solar UV radiation is the major factor in the etiology of cSCC. Wholeexome sequencing of 18 microdissected tumor samples (cases) derived from SKH-1

Chinese Herbal Medicines for Diabetic Cardio‐Cerebrovascular Diseases: Key Bioactive Metabolites and Action Mechanisms

open access: yesJournal of Nutrition and Metabolism, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Currently, the global incidence of diabetes is increasing, particularly in populous developing regions. In China, over 290 million people are affected by diabetic cardio‐cerebrovascular diseases. These diseases account for more than 40% of deaths and impose a significant economic burden on both society and families.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: sub-classification by massive parallel quantitative RT-PCR. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogeneous entity with remarkably variable clinical outcome. Gene expression profiling (GEP) classifies DLBCL into activated B-cell like (ABC), germinal center B-cell like (GCB), and Type-III subtypes, with ...

Fucosyltransferase 8‐Derived Circular RNA Drives M2 Polarization of Macrophages Through ENO1‐TNF Signaling Axis to Promote Lung Cancer Progression

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 16, Issue 23, December 2025.
The novel mechanism by which circFUT8 promotes lung cancer progression is that circFUT8 binds to ENO1, enhancing glycolytic metabolism to the upregulation of JUN, CSF2, CSF1, TRAF1, CCL5, MMP9, which in turn drive the polarization of tumor‐associated macrophages toward an immunosuppressive M2 phenotype, fostering a pro‐tumor microenvironment.

Genome-wide determination of drug localization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A vast number of small-molecule ligands, including therapeutic drugs under development and in clinical use, elicit their effects by binding specific proteins associated with the genome.

Design and Evaluation of Eb4Mab‐7‐mG2a: A Dual‐Action Anti‐EphB4 Monoclonal Antibody for Targeted Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 116, Issue 12, Page 3417-3430, December 2025.
Eb4Mab‐7‐mG2a, an anti‐EphB4 monoclonal antibody, significantly suppressed tumor growth in the MCF‐7 xenograft model. Tumor volume and weight were markedly reduced in treated mice, demonstrating its antitumor efficacy against EphB4‐positive breast cancer.

FGF2 Induces Migration of Human Bone Marrow Stromal Cells by Increasing Core Fucosylations on N-Glycans of Integrins

open access: yesStem Cell Reports, 2018
Summary: Since hundreds of clinical trials are investigating the use of multipotent stromal cells (MSCs) for therapeutic purposes, effective delivery of the cells to target tissues is critical.
