Transcriptomic analysis from 3D cultures of Presilinin‐1 G206A carriers reveals genetic expression differences associated with age‐of‐onset variability [PDF]
Abstract Background The Presenilin‐1 (PSEN1) G206A mutation has been identified in Puerto Ricans (PRs) with Alzheimer disease (AD), as a founder effect in the African ancestral background. The G206A mutation exhibits large age‐of‐onset (AOO) variation (range 30‐90 years) between carriers.

Comprehensive glycomics analysis and genome‐wide DNA methylation analysis using tissue samples of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) have revealed that the glycan profile, including “immature” N‐type glycans, may be attributable to epigenetic regulation of glycogenes.

Whole-exome sequencing validates a preclinical mouse model for the prevention and treatment of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma [PDF]
Cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas (cSCC) are among the most common and highly mutated human malignancies. Solar UV radiation is the major factor in the etiology of cSCC. Wholeexome sequencing of 18 microdissected tumor samples (cases) derived from SKH-1

Currently, the global incidence of diabetes is increasing, particularly in populous developing regions. In China, over 290 million people are affected by diabetic cardio‐cerebrovascular diseases. These diseases account for more than 40% of deaths and impose a significant economic burden on both society and families.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: sub-classification by massive parallel quantitative RT-PCR. [PDF]
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a heterogeneous entity with remarkably variable clinical outcome. Gene expression profiling (GEP) classifies DLBCL into activated B-cell like (ABC), germinal center B-cell like (GCB), and Type-III subtypes, with ...

The novel mechanism by which circFUT8 promotes lung cancer progression is that circFUT8 binds to ENO1, enhancing glycolytic metabolism to the upregulation of JUN, CSF2, CSF1, TRAF1, CCL5, MMP9, which in turn drive the polarization of tumor‐associated macrophages toward an immunosuppressive M2 phenotype, fostering a pro‐tumor microenvironment.
