Parvovirus B19 NS1 protein induces cell cycle arrest at G2-phase by activating the ATR-CDC25C-CDK1 pathway

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2017
Human parvovirus B19 (B19V) infection of primary human erythroid progenitor cells (EPCs) arrests infected cells at both late S-phase and G2-phase, which contain 4N DNA.

Local geometry of the G2 moduli space [PDF]

open access: yesCommun.Math.Phys.287:459-488,2009, 2008
We consider deformations of torsion-free G2 structures, defined by the G2-invariant 3-form $\phi$ and compute the expansion of the Hodge star of $\phi$ to fourth order in the deformations of $\phi$. By considering M-theory compactified on a G2 manifold, the G2 moduli space is naturally complexified, and we get a Kahler metric on it. Using the expansion

Cyclin G2 inhibits epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition by disrupting Wnt/β-catenin signaling

open access: yesOncogene, 2016
Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) has the highest mortality rate among gynecological malignancies owing to poor screening methods, non-specific symptoms and limited knowledge of the cellular targets that contribute to the disease.

THE GALACTIC CENTER CLOUD G2 AND ITS GAS STREAMER [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present new, deep near-infrared SINFONI @ VLT integral field spectroscopy of the gas cloud G2 in the Galactic Center, from late 2013 August, 2014 April, and 2014 July. G2 is visible in recombination line emission. The spatially resolved kinematic data

Deformations of G2-structures with torsion [PDF]

open access: yesAsian J. Math. 20 (2016), no. 1, 123-55, 2011
We consider non-infinitesimal deformations of G2-structures on 7-dimensional manifolds and derive an exact expression for the torsion of the deformed G2-structure. We then specialize to a case when the deformation is defined by a vector v and we explicitly derive the expressions for the different torsion components of the new G2-structure in terms of ...

STAT3 expression is reduced in cardiac pericytes in HFpEF and its loss reduces cellular adhesion and induces pericyte senescence

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

Closed G2-structures with conformally flat metric [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
This article classifies closed G2-structures such that the induced metric is conformally flat. It is shown that any closed G2-structure with conformally flat metric is locally equivalent to one of three explicit examples. In particular, it follows from the classification that any closed G2-structure inducing a metric that is both conformally flat and ...

Einstein warped G2 and Spin(7) manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper most of the classes of G2-structures with Einstein induced metric of negative, null or positive scalar curvature are realized. This is carried out by means of warped G2-structures with fiber an Einstein SU(3) manifold. The torsion forms of any warped G2-structure are explicitly described in terms of the torsion forms of the SU(3 ...

HIV-1 Vpr Protein Enhances Proteasomal Degradation of MCM10 DNA Replication Factor through the Cul4-DDB1[VprBP] E3 Ubiquitin Ligase to Induce G2/M Cell Cycle Arrest*

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 2015
Background: MCM10 regulates initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. Results: HIV-1 Vpr enhances proteasomal degradation of MCM10. Conclusion: HIV-1 Vpr-mediated degradation of MCM10 is essential for induction of G2/M cell cycle arrest. Significance:
