Maternal gut microbiota‐derived daidzein prevents osteoporosis in female offspring following prenatal prednisone exposure

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Prenatal prednisone therapy (PPT)/prenatal prednisone exposure (PPE) induces long bone dysplasia, reduced peak bone mass (PBM), and increased osteoporosis susceptibility in female offspring. Maternal gut microbiota metabolite daidzein (DAI) mediates PPE‐induced osteoporosis susceptibility in female adult offspring.

SynCom‐mediated herbicide degradation activates microbial carbon metabolism in soils

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Extensive herbicide residues in the black soil of northeastern China are considered a significant agricultural pollution threat, yet effective bioremediation of this complex and persistent mixture remains a challenge. We provided an herbicide degradation and ecosystem regulation model of SynCom in soil. We also demonstrated the effectiveness of SynCom “

Gut microbial‐derived 3,4‐dihydroxyphenylacetic acid ameliorates reproductive phenotype of polycystic ovary syndrome

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
By integrating multi‐level and multi‐omics analyses, we identify 3,4‐dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (DHPAA), a gut microbiota‐derived degradation product of dietary flavonoids, as a key bioactive end‐product responsible for the beneficial effects against polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Biochemical characterization of digestive carbohydrases of the tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) larvae in response to feeding on six tomato cultivars

open access: yesJournal of Crop Protection, 2017
The tomato leaf miner, Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) is an imported pest and serious threat to tomato production in farms and greenhouses of Iran. Use of genetically engineered plants expressingcarbohydrase inhibitors is one of the non-chemical methods for ...
