Ellagi- and gallotannins from Punica granatum heartwood.
Die Pharmazie, 2001From the heartwood of Punica granatum L., the new 3'-O-methyl-3,4-methylenedioxyellagic acid, as well as eight known ellagitannins and gallotannins have been isolated and characterized. The structures were established by chromatography, chemical degradation and UV spectroscopy and confirmed by MS and NMR spectroscopy.
