Functional Mapping of Neurodevelopmental Disease Pathways to Key Neurodevelopmental Processes Represented in the Developmental Neurotoxicity In Vitro Testing Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human‐relevant methods are essential for modern chemical safety assessment. This study helps define the capabilities and boundaries of an in vitro testing battery for developmental neurotoxicity by exploring its biological applicability domain. By linking neurodevelopmental disease‐related pathways to key neurodevelopmental processes, the work enhances

Legumain Restrains Granuloma Formation by Inhibiting mTORC1/STAT1‐Mediated M1 Macrophage Polarization in Sarcoidosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Legumain (LGMN) is upregulated in macrophages during sarcoid‑like granuloma formation. Macrophage‑derived LGMN binds to integrin αvβ3 and suppresses mTORC1/STAT1 signaling to restrain M1 macrophage polarization. Intratracheal delivery of lipid nanoparticles carrying Lgmn plasmid DNA (pDNA) elevates LGMN expression and effectively attenuates pulmonary ...

Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...

An Implantable Scaffold Sequentially Releasing STING Agonist and B7‐H3 Antibody for Bone Metastasis Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed an implantable dual‐drug depot using GelMA for bone metastasis treatment, co‐delivering MSA‐2 and αB7‐H3‐loaded CaCO3 microparticles. Sustained release from GelMA scaffold enables MSA‐2 to activate STING signaling and enhance T‐cell infiltration and activation, while sequentially released αB7‐H3 blocks MSA‐2‐induced B7‐H3 upregulation ...

Gamma delta T cell receptors

Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2006
Gamma delta (gamma delta) T cells are among the least understood components of the immune system. While these cells appear to contribute uniquely to host immune competence, defining their functions in the context of host biology and pathology has been difficult.

Bovine gamma delta T cells and the function of gamma delta T cell specific WC1 co-receptors

Cellular Immunology, 2015
The study of γδ T cells in ruminants dates to the discovery of the γδ TCR in humans and mice. It is important since cattle offer an alternative model to the mouse for evaluating the role of γδ T cells in zoonotic disease research and for control of disease reservoirs in non-human animals.

Gamma-delta T-cell lymphomas

Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, 2009
Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (TCLs) are uncommon neoplasms, accounting for about 12% of all lymphoid tumors worldwide. TCLs in which gammadelta T-cell receptors are expressed (gammadelta TCLs) are extremely aggressive and rare (

Gamma/delta T cells

Clinical and Applied Immunology Reviews, 2003
Abstract Protection from exogenous invaders and elimination of endogenous aberrations are the main contributions of T cells to homeostasis. T cells with Vγ9Vδ2-encoded T-cell receptors (TCRs) have a unique ability to interact with a plethora of phosphoantigens in a major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-unrestricted manner. The biological function of

Hepatosplenic gamma-delta T-cell lymphoma

Critical Reviews in Oncology/Hematology, 2012
Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma (HSTL) is a rare and aggressive extranodal lymphoma derived mostly from cytotoxic γδ T-cells. The peak incidence is in adolescents and young adults, and is more common in males. Up to 20% of HSTL arise in the setting of chronic immune suppression, most commonly solid organ transplantation or prolonged antigenic stimulation.

Gamma Delta T Cell Function in Ruminants

Veterinary Clinics of North America: Food Animal Practice, 2019
Gamma delta (γδ) T cells constitute a major lymphocyte population in peripheral blood and epithelial surfaces. They play nonredundant roles in host defense against diverse pathogens. Although γδ T cells share functional features with other cells of the immune system, their distinct methods of antigen recognition, rapid response, and tissue tropism make
