Peptide antigens for gamma/delta T cells
Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2011γδ T cells express adaptive antigen receptors encoded by rearranging genes. Their diversity is highest in the small region of TCR V-J junctions, especially in the δ chain, which should enable the γδ TCRs to distinguish differences in small epitopes.

Human T cell receptor gamma delta + T cells.
Seminars in immunology, 1991TCR gamma delta + T cells represent a minority of CD3+ T cells in many species including man. The molecular structure of the TCR gamma and delta loci in man is well understood. The gamma and delta loci contain V, D, J and C gene segments. These segments do not rearrange randomly but in a coordinated, ordered fashion during thymic development. Therefore,

Cutaneous gamma–delta T-cell lymphoma

Lifespan of gamma/delta T cells.
The Journal of experimental medicine, 1998Information on the turnover and lifespan of murine gamma/delta cells was obtained by administering the DNA precursor, bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU), in the drinking water and staining lymphoid cells for BrdU incorporation. For TCR-gamma/delta (Vgamma2) transgenic mice, nearly all gamma/delta thymocytes became BrdU+ within 2 d and were released rapidly into ...

Hepatosplenic gamma delta T cell lymphoma
1999This rare disorder was initially listed in the REAL classification as a provisional malignancy, because very few reports had been published at that time, but there is certainly now convincing evidence that it is a distinctive sub-type of lymphoma. It was initially described by Farcet and colleagues in 1990 as a “hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma”.1 They ...

Gamma delta T-cell development.
Current opinion in immunology, 1993Gamma delta T cells consist of multiple lineages of cells with distinct antigen receptor repertoires, tissue localization and function. Recent evidence suggests that the ordered appearance of these sublineages during development is a result of programmed rearrangement of V gamma-gene segments. It appears that the T-cell receptor repertoire, at least of
