Exploring the Therapeutic Effects of Radix Astragalus on Glioblastoma Multiforme Cell Culture

open access: yesRecent Trends in Pharmacology
Objective: Glioblastomas, recognized for their aggressive and invasive nature, present a daunting challenge for effective treatment. At present, available therapies are not entirely efficacious in combating this primary brain tumor. In light of this, the

A simulation-based product diffusion forecasting method using geometric Brownian motion and spline interpolation

open access: yesCogent Business & Management, 2017
This study addresses the problem of stochasticity in forecasting diffusion of a new product with scarce historical data. Demand uncertainties are calibrated using a geometric Brownian motion (GBM) process.

Role of AHR in the control of GBM-associated myeloid cells.

open access: yesSeminars in Cancer Biology, 2020
Glioblastoma (GBM) is an aggressive and incurable brain tumor; its malignancy has been associated with the activity of tumor infiltrating myeloid cells.

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

Targeting WTAP/ROR1/WNT5A‐Mediated Crosstalk Between Glioma Stem Cells and Macrophages to Normalize Tumor Vasculature and Enhance Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In hypoxic microenvironment, WNT5A is predominantly secreted by tumor‐associated macrophages. Hypoxia‐induced WTAP mediates ROR1 stability by m6A modifications in a HuR‐dependent manner in Glioma stem cells (GSCs). WNT5A activates the WNT pathway via ROR1 binding on GSCs, driving glioma‐derived endothelial cells (GDECs) differentiation.

Phytosomal curcumin causes natural killer cell-dependent repolarization of glioblastoma (GBM) tumor-associated microglia/macrophages and elimination of GBM and GBM stem cells

open access: yesJournal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research, 2018
Background Glioblastoma (GBM) is a primary brain tumor with a 5-year survival rate of ≤5%. We have shown earlier that GBM-antibody-linked curcumin (CC) and also phytosomal curcumin (CCP) rescue 50–60% of GBM-bearing mice while repolarizing the tumor ...

Endothelial cells promote 3D invasion of GBM by IL-8-dependent induction of cancer stem cell properties

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
Rapid growth and perivascular invasion are hallmarks of glioblastoma (GBM) that have been attributed to the presence of cancer stem-like cells (CSCs) and their association with the perivascular niche.

Biomimetic Nanoplatform for Targeted Glioblastoma Therapy via Concurrently Triggering GPX4/DHODH Mediated Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Considering the great challenge in Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) treatment, the authors designed and synthesized a multifunctional nanoplatform that effectively induced ferroptosis by synergetically inhibiting intrinsic intrisinc anti‐ferroptosis proteins, GPX4 & DHODH, and realized excellent in vitro and in vivo anti‐GBM effect.

Research Progress on Mechanism of NAD+ Metabolic Remodeling in Occurrence and Development of Glioblastoma Multiforme

open access: yesZhongliu Fangzhi Yanjiu
Gliomas, especially high-grade gliomas such as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), are primary malignant tumors of the central nervous system, characterized by high proliferative capacity, invasiveness, and therapeutic resistance.
