Does a Morphotropic Phase Boundary Exist in ZrxHf1‐xO2‐Based Thin Films?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates 6 nm zirconium‐rich hafnium‐zirconium oxide thin–film metal–insulator–metal capacitors using a combination of experimental methods and machine learning–based molecular dynamics simulations to provide insight into the physical mechanisms that enhance the dielectric constant near 0 V and attribute it to the field‐induced ...

How anaerobic treatment is controlling the volatile components and key odorants of purple-colored leaf tea [PDF]

open access: yes
Special purple-colored leaf tea products rich in γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) have recently gained popularity. Although anaerobic treatment could effectively increase the GABA content in tea products, it also imparted an unknown unpleasant aroma.

Quality-Driven Design of Pandan-Flavored Sponge Cake: Unraveling the Role of Thermal Processing on Typical Pandan Aroma

open access: yesFoods
Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) has been used in the production of bakery goods either as a functional ingredient or a natural flavoring that, when roasted, exerts a fragrant rice-like aroma and an attractive green color. This study elucidated the

Enhancing Synaptic Plasticity and Multistate Retention of Organic Neuromorphic Devices Using Anion‐Excessive Gel Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐excessive gel‐based organic synaptic transistors (AEG‐OSTs) that can maintain electrical neutrality are developed to enhance synaptic plasticity and multistate retention. Key improvement is attributed to the maintenance of electrical neutrality in the electrolyte even after electrochemical doping, which reduces the Coulombic force acting on ...

Bioinspired Stabilization of Fluorescent Au@SiO2 Tracers for Multimodal Biological Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a bioinspired stabilization strategy for fluorescent gold‐silica nanoparticles. Inspired by natural biosilica maturation, high‐temperature calcination transforms the silica shells, preventing dissolution in cell culture media and intracellular environments.

Ascorbic Acid Modulates Collagen Properties in Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteoporotic Bone: Insights into Chemical, Mechanical, and Biological Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Osteoporosis from long‐term glucocorticoid (GIOP) use elevates susceptibility to fracture. This study shows GCs impair ascorbic acid (AA) metabolism in osteoblasts, collagen synthesis and extracellular matrix integrity. AA enhanced collagen biochemical and mechanical properties and restored osteoblast and endothelial function. These findings underscore

Enhancing Magnetic Hyperthermia at the Cell Membrane by Anchoring 92R‐Functionalized Magnetic Nanoparticles to Low‐Endocytic CCR9 Surface Receptors

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We present a strategy to enhance magnetic hyperthermia therapy by modulating nanoparticle–cell interactions. Antibody‐functionalized magnetic nanoparticles targeting the low‐internalizing CCR9 receptor enable spatially controlled membrane anchoring, reducing aggregation and maximizing heat generation under alternating magnetic fields.
