Bacterial α‐diversity decreases, but stochasticity and community stability increase across the 15 m‐depth vertical profiles and along the degraded gradient within the active layer. The abundance and interaction of core taxa mainly control community stability in the active and permafrost layers, respectively.

Unveiling the Genetic and Phenotypic Landscape of a Chinese Cohort With Retinitis Pigmentosa
Introduction Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a type of inherited retinal degeneration (IRD) that typically leads to vision loss in individuals of working age. Currently, over 100 genes and loci, as well as over 1000 individual variants, have been identified

This work introduces a scalable, data‐driven strategy that turns the vast sequence diversity of phage receptor‐binding proteins into modular tools for engineering customizable phages. By clustering and experimentally validating diverse RBPs, the authors build an accurate map linking sequence to host specificity and create plug‐and‐play modules that ...

Genetic dissection of grain architecture-related traits in a winter wheat population
Background The future productivity of wheat (T. aestivum L.) as the most grown crop worldwide is of utmost importance for global food security. Thousand kernel weight (TKW) in wheat is closely associated with grain architecture-related traits, e.g ...

This study reveals that dietary stachyose enriches Butyricimonas virosa, effectively attenuating metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Mechanistically, B. virosa enhances gut thiamine monophosphate synthesis, which elevates hepatic thiamine pyrophosphate levels.
