Background: The roots of Panax ginseng contain noble tetracyclic triterpenoid saponins derived from dammarenediol-II. Dammarene-type ginsenosides are classified into the protopanaxadiol (PPD) and protopanaxatriol (PPT) groups based on their triterpene ...

This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

Automated behavioural fingerprinting of C. elegans mutants [PDF]
Rapid advances in genetics, genomics, and imaging have given insight into the molecular and cellular basis of behaviour in a variety of model organisms with unprecedented detail and scope. It is increasingly routine to isolate behavioural mutants, clone and characterise mutant genes, and discern the molecular and neural basis for a behavioural ...

Breast tumor samples scored for metabolic deregulation (M1 to M3) were given a hypoxia score (HS). The highest HS occurred in patients with strongest metabolic deregulation (M3), supporting tumor aggressiveness. HS correlated with the highest number of metabolic pathways in M1. This suggests hypoxia to be an early event in metabolic deregulation.

A Review of Statistical Methods in Imaging Genetics [PDF]
With the rapid growth of modern technology, many large-scale biomedical studies have been/are being/will be conducted to collect massive datasets with large volumes of multi-modality imaging, genetic, neurocognitive, and clinical information from increasingly large cohorts.

Crosstalk between gut microbiota and tumor: tumors could cause gut dysbiosis and metabolic imbalance
In this research, we analyzed the relationship between gut microbiota and tumor. We discovered that both subcutaneous and metastatic tumors would alter the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation also indicated the anti‐tumor role of the gut microbiota, revealing the crosstalk between tumor and ...
