The human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) genotyping resistance test (GRT) has been considered essential for HIV-1 drug resistance monitoring. However, it is not commonly used in some developing countries in Asia and Africa due to its high running cost. This study aims to evaluate a new low-cost in-house GRT for both subtype B and non-B HIV-1.The ...

Genotypic analysis of HIV-1 coreceptor usage
2011The acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is one of the biggest medical challenges in the world today. Its causative pathogen, the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), is responsible for millions of deaths per year. Although about two dozen antiviral drugs are currently available, progression of the disease can only be delayed but patients cannot be

Interactions Between Genotypes of Soybeans and Genotypes of Nodulating Bacteria1
Agronomy Journal, 1960SynopsisInteractions were indicated by the chlorosis response of 116 soybean varieties to selected bacterial strains and by a selected group of varieties to 70 bacterial strains. The response of each of 11 varieties to 8 strains was different from that of any other variety. No two of the 8 strains resulted in the same response of all 11 varieties.

HIV-1 Genotyping and Virtual Phenotyping
2012Drug resistance testing is recommended for the management of patients with HIV-1 infection. Celera ViroSeq™ HIV-1 Genotyping System is the most widely used genotypic HIV drug resistance testing. The assay produces 1,302 nucleotide sequences comprising codons 1–99 of the protease gene and 1–335 of the reverse transcriptase gene.

Genotype ✕ Photoperiod and Genotype ✕ Temperature Interactions for Maturity in Maize1
Crop Science, 1985A six‐parent diallel of maize (Zea mays L.) was evaluated for total leaf number (TLN), days to tassel initiation (DTI), and to pollen shed (DPS) in 18 diverse field environments and two phytotron environments to determine the contribution of photoperiod and temperature variables to the genotype ✕ environment interaction.

[The molecular differences between genotype 1 and genotype 4 of HEV in their neutralization region].
Bing du xue bao = Chinese journal of virology, 2008HEV is classified into H (human) group and Z (zoonosis) group according to its compatible host. H group contains genotype 1 and genotype 2 HEV isolates which infect human only; Z group contains genotype 3 and genotype 4 HEV isolates which infect both human and animals.
