Endothelial GPR68 Is Essential for Arteriogenesis and Represents a Therapeutic Target in a Model of Peripheral Artery Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endothelial GPR68 is identified as a critical regulator of collateral artery growth in peripheral artery disease. Genetic and pharmacological evidence demonstrates that GPR68 integrates hemodynamic cues to drive monocyte recruitment and inflammatory remodeling, thereby promoting collateral arteriogenesis and tissue perfusion after ischemia ...

PSMA8‐Containing 20S Proteasome Regulates Spermiogenesis and Male Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSMA8 assembles s20S proteasome that degrades specific substrates in elongating spermatids. Degradation of s20S‐substrates activates translation of FXR1‐target mRNAs, which are essential for mitochondrial sheath formation and sperm morphogenesis.

Targeting m6A Reader YTHDF1 Enhances Antitumor Immunity and Potentiates Anti‐PD‐L1 Efficacy in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The m6A reader YTHDF1 drives intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) progression by remodeling the tumor immune microenvironment. YTHDF1 promotes MDSC recruitment via activation of m6A‐FOSL2‐CXCL6/CXCR2 axis, thereby suppressing CD8+ T cell infiltration and function.

Mucopolysaccharidosis type II – genotype/phenotype aspects

Acta Paediatrica, 2002
Establishing correlations between a patient's genotype and clinical phenotype is based on the assumption that the same clinical consequences will be observed in individuals with the same residual function of a specific metabolic step. In mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II; Hunter disease), patients present with a wide clinical spectrum. Furthermore,

Characterization of genotype II Rubella virus strains

Archives of Virology, 2003
Two genotypes of Rubella virus have been described that differ by 8-9% at the nucleotide level in the E1 glycoprotein gene. Of these, genotype II (RGII) was only recently reported and in this study two RGII viruses, the BRDII vaccine strain and BR1 wild type strain, were characterized.

Pathogenicity and histopathology of infectious spleen and kidney necrosis virus genotype II (ISKNV-II) recovering from mass mortality of farmed Asian seabass, Lates calcarifer, in Southern China

, 2021
Megalocytivirus of family Iridoviridae was considered as one of the most alarming causative agents which caused fatally systemic infection and lead to mass mortalities to world-widely distributed freshwater and marine fish.

Plant genotyping II: SNP technology

2008
Since the publication of Plant Genotyping: the DNA Fingerprinting of Plants in 2001, the techniques available for plant DNA analysis have advanced considerably. Recent developments focus on high throughput methods, and generally target single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) discovery and analysis.

An iTRAQ-based comparative proteomic analysis of grass carp infected with virulent and avirulent isolates of grass carp reovirus genotype II

, 2021
Genotype II of grass carp reovirus (GCRV) is an epidemic strain that is devastating to the grass carp industry in China. Infections of grass carp caused with virulent GCRV-HuNan1307 and avirulent GCRV-GD1108 isolates were carried out to determine the ...

Carnitine palmitoyltransferase II (CPT II) deficiency: Genotype–Phenotype analysis of 50 patients

Journal of the Neurological Sciences, 2014
Clinical, biochemical and molecular genetic data in a cohort of 50 patients with muscle CPT II deficiency are reported. Attacks of myoglobinuria occurred in 86% of patients. In 94% of patients the triggering factor was exercise. Although the myopathic form is often called the adult from, in 60% of patients, the age of onset was in childhood (1-12 years)

A multicenter evaluation of the Abbott RealTime HCV Genotype II assay

Journal of Virological Methods, 2010
Genotype determination is recommended before starting anti-HCV therapy to determine the duration of treatment (PEG-Interferon+ribavirin). The Versant HCV Genotype 2.0 assay, based on the reverse hybridization of the 5'UTR segment and core region of hepatitis C virus (HCV), has been one of the assays used most widely for HCV genotyping.
